FLAG RACE RECAP 2023
Five mixed and seven women's teams from around the Province enjoyed a day of competition on a glorious day on Lake Osoyoos.
Following a morning of combined trial races, the afternoon was spent in the knockout stages to declare the eventual winner in each category. Congratulations to Fort Langley WOW, winners of the Women’ division and Paddleholics from Kelowna, winners of the Mixed division..
Concluding the day was a special challenge race over 2 Km featuring teams from individual clubs as well as teams from combined clubs. 'Mostly Paddleholics' recorded the fastest time followed by FLCC WOW, Jonas et al and Lift a Vixen. This event has really grown in popularity!
Presentations to our first place winners in each division were made after the event and we also handed out a number of draw prizes to lucky winners.
The evening continued at the Safari Beach Resort with a fabulous catered dinner provided by Oliver Eats. A number of Similkameen Wineries were also represented. The night continued with Dragon Boaters and guests listening and dancing to the music from the very talented Jon Bos.
